The Guidance Department works to address the changing needs of high school students, parents, the school faculty and administration, and the community. Our department is proud of its developmental approach when working with students and parents. Our goal is to assist students in achieving their academic potential and preparing for the future.
PRACTICE TEST for the MCA READING and MATH. Check out a way to practice for the 10th grade MCA Reading Test and 11th Grade MCA Math test. These item samplers give you a way to practice for the test.

Girls and Boys State (info for juniors)
Girls and Boys State are week long summer programs held on a college campuses for students interested in learning more about the state government. During the weeklong stay students will take on roles of state legislators and learn about the government process. It’s a great opportunity for students interested in legal or government related careers. Students also experience dormitory living as they are housed with other students on college campuses.
The dates this year are June 10th – 16th
If you are interested, please assist us in making selections by writing a brief (one page or less) statement, which answers the following questions.
What are your future educational plans?
Why are you interested in attending Boys or Girls State?
How will you benefit by attending and what do you expect to gain from the experience.
